FIRE PERMIT SEASON
Alberta Sustainable Resource Development has just announced that the Fire Season for the Province of Alberta for 2012 shall commence on March 1, 2012.
Please see your local Fire Chief, Councillor, Peace Officer or visit the County Office or Ag Services Office for your Fire Permit on or after that date.

2012 OPERATING AND CAPITAL BUDGET
Budget 2012 - Council adopted the 2012 Interim Budget at their Meeting - December 13, 2011. Highlights of Interim Budget include: Total Operating Revenue - $11,847,174 - Total Operating Expenses - $23,048,740 and a Total Capital Budget - $3,443,400. Check out the 2012 Budget Information at 2012 County Budget. The Final 2012 Budget and Mill Rate Bylaw will be considered by Council in April 2012.

CAMROSE COUNTY NOTIFICATION EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2012
The West Dried Meat Lake Regional Landfill will no longer be accepting Agricultural Plastics (silage covers, grain bags, plastic twine) co-mingled with Municipal Solid Waste. Separated Agricultural Plastics may be delivered to the landfill for disposal and recycling. Highlights of the last Council Meeting - February 14, 2012
That Camrose County accept the proposal from TNT Canada Consultants for the Engineering and Construction Services to complete the Hay Lakes Truck-fill, in the amount of one hundred and fifty five thousand, two hundred and twenty dollars ($155,220.00), with County crews to construct the site pad, tie-in approaches, building, the pipeline connection from existing line and site services (power)
That Camrose County accept the RFP from International for a 2013 Model 4300M7 for the price of seventy thousand nine hundred ninety seven dollars ($70,997).
That Administration be directed to schedule a joint Council meeting with the Town of Bashaw to discuss mutual issues and initiatives.
That the Standing Committee to Investigate Complaints look at the drainage issue on the NE 8-48-22-W4 - TWP 422 west of RR224, and if necessary a recommendation be brought back to Council
That Council rescind By-Law 1203 and give three readings to By-law 1220 and adopt the new residential potable water rates of $2.40 per cubic meter for Braim as well as $4.00 per cubic meter for temporary construction service rates.
That Council rescind By-Law 1204 and give three readings to By-Law 1221 and adopt the new residential potable water rates of $2.40 per cubic meter for Ohaton and $5.00 per cubic meter for the bulk station as well as $4.00 per cubic meter for temporary construction services rates.
That Council rescind By-Law 1205 and give three readings to By-Law 1222 and adopt the new residential potable water rates of $2.40 per cubic meter for Ervick as well as $4.00 per cubic meter for temporary construction services rates.
That Council reaffirm with the landowner of SW 27-48-21-W4 that Camrose County's position is that, after further review, the County is not responsible for the alleged drainage concerns as outlined in the invoice totaling $27,822.58.
That Council authorize a letter be written under the Reeve's signature to support Ecole Sifton School Playground Committee in their endeavor to obtain a Community Facility Enhancement Program (CFEP) grant for the purpose of upgrading and redeveloping the playground and related equipment.
That Camrose County sponsor $100 - "Bronze Sponsor" for the 2012 Alberta Women’s Institute Convention to be held in Camrose June 26-28, 2012 as per Category C - Major Local Event as per the Event Sponsorship Policy 5.15 with funding to come from the Grants to Organizations Account in the 2012 Budget
