Updated Recycling Schedule 2011

Effective January 1st, 2011 the Camrose County Rural Recycling Schedule will be changing its pick-up schedule to better serve the residents. Please note that this schedule will be repeated on a two week rotational basis. Check the Camrose County Calendar on the Home Page for location and time.
 
Blue Box Recycling Program

Blue boxes are now available to all County residents at the County Seed Cleaning Plant (4728-41 Street, Camrose) or from our recycling technician at one of the regularly scheduled drop off locations. For more information, call 780-672-4765

Notice - May Council Meetings
The regular scheduled Camrose County Council meetings scheduled for May 8th and May 22nd will commence at 8:30 am.

Public Notice
Camrose County has given Second Reading to By-law 1232 - Water Use - Truck Fills and Reservoirs.  County Council deems it expedient to pass a By-law to regulate and control the use of water at the Camrose County Bulk Water Truck Fill Stations and Reservoirs.

Comments on the proposed Bylaw 1232 may be submitted no later that 4:30 p.m. on May 14, 2012 to Steve Gerlitz at sgertliz@county.camrose.ab.ca or 3755 - 43 Avenue, Camrose, AB T4V 3S8.

County Council will consider third reading of Bylaw 1232 at their May 22, 2012 Council Meeting.

Beaver Dam Removal
Effective April 15, 2012 until October 31st, 2012 Camrose County may from time to time remove beaver dams that are obstructing normal water courses throughout the County.  These actions are undertaken to prevent damage to Municipal Infrastructure and overland flooding conditions.  These actions may cause some temporary down-stream out of season flows.  For more information, please contact the Camrose County Agricultural Services Office at 780-672-4765.


Roadside Brush and Weed Control
Camrose County will be spraying along Roadsides for the control of brush and weeds commencing June 1st, 2012.  VIEW

Agreement must be received at the Camrose County ASB office prior to June 1st.  VIEW.

Please note that Camrose County "Do Not Spray Area" Signs must be posted prior to June 1st of each year.  Signs are available at the Camrose County Agricultural Services Office at 4728-41 St, Camrose.

CUTTING OF HAY CROPS ON PUBLIC ROADS - BY-LAW 1020
Prior to July 15th in any year, only the owner of land abutting the ditch of a public highway under the jurisdiction of Camrose County is authorized to harvest by cutting, baling, or any other method, any forage crop that grow within the said ditches of the said highway.  VIEW

Roadside Mowing Beginning June 1, 2012
The County recognizes that certain individuals wish to harvest the roadside vegetation for hay; if you wish to harvest the roadside vegetation you must contact the Agricultural Services office prior to June 1st, 2012 and identify those locations.

Gopher Control
2% Liquid Strychnine Concentrate for Richardson's Ground Squirrel Control is now available at the Camrose County Agricultural Services Office (County Seed Cleaning Plant) at 4728-41 St., Camrose.
Minimum purchase is 1/2 case (12 bottles). Hours 8:00 - 12 Noon and 1:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

CAMROSE COUNTY NOTIFICATION
Effective January 1, 2012 - The West Dried Meat Lake Regional Landfill will no longer be accepting Agricultural Plastics (silage covers, grain bags, plastic twine) co-mingled with Municipal Solid Waste. Separated Agricultural Plastics may be delivered to the landfill for disposal and recycling.
